I've been extremely politically involved for several years. Just recently, I was appointed Deputy State Lead & Press Liaison in Florida for The Presidential Inaugural Committee's - National Day of Service.
While working on the 2012 Presidential election as a Fellow for President Obama and a 'Get Out The Vote' Staging Location Director in SW Florida, I was closely following local races that have an immediate impact in my community. While doing so, I was able to gain a real understanding of what was happening right in our own backyard and who it was happening to. That is why I declared my plan to run for Florida's 19th District seat in 2014.
We need labor friendly, sensible, open minded and progressive Democratic leadership in Washington. I want the privilege of being your voice and I promise that I will be listening to your ideas as I help shape legislation that will benefit us all.
