Press Release:  Rooney Campaign in Debt

Freeman Emerges As the Fiscal Conservative

North Fort Myers, FL: In a race featuring fiscal conservatism front and center, April Freeman has emerged as the fiscally conservative choice for District 17.

Representative Tom Rooney who touts himself as a “steadfast fiscal conservative” is emerging as anything but, in this race. In a recent article by the News Chief, the Rooney Campaign stated, “I have a bunch a pending bills I need to pay on Tom’s behalf, so we have to keep fundraising to pay off these bills.” With a campaign in debt, and support of some large spending Bills, Representative Rooney is showing himself to spend resources liberally.

Meanwhile the Freeman Campaign is not in debt, and is currently functioning within its means while working with a healthy surplus. (Numbers for John Sawyer were not available).

“I am a fiscal conservative and I take that responsibility seriously,” stated April Freeman.  “If I can’t run my own campaign efficiently, how can I expect voters to believe that I will help run the government efficiently.  As a candidate, you always want to be able to do more with your campaign, but not to the point of going in debt.”

April Freeman is a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in Florida’s 17th Congressional District, where she will be a “New Voice For a New District.”
